Our service can help following most crimes by providing emotional support, practical help, signposting and advocacy to help victims move forward and recover.
Specialist support services for domestic abuse, sexual violence, stalking and support for young victims are delivered by other local providers. These are listed in the support directory on this website.
You can self-refer into these services using the contact details on the website or you can speak to the Victim Care Lancashire team to find out more.
Who we are
Victim Care Lancashire is delivered by a specialist team of Victim Care Advisers within Lancashire Constabulary. Any information you share with the service is completely confidential and cannot be accessed by anyone outside of the Victim Care Lancashire team. Information would only ever be shared with other agencies in exceptional circumstances where there is an overriding concern for someone’s welfare.

How we can support you
Our team of specially trained Victim Care Advisers is available to provide free, confidential and non-judgemental
support and practical help.
This includes emotional support, listening to your concerns, and signposting you towards additional support that may be available depending on your situation.
Support will be tailored to you, and your Victim Care Adviser will listen and work with you to find the best possible way to move forward and recover from the effects of crime.
Your Victim Care Adviser will also be able to tell you about your rights as a victim and what you can do if you don’t think you’ve received the support you should under the Victims’ Code.
